Holiday Game List
Holiday time is a great time for online games. Seasonal games are fun and they can be a great part of the holiday season. My severely autistic girl likes to play Christmas games with her Auntie when she comes to visit for the winter holidays, but Halloween is her favorite holiday, so I have mostly Halloween and Christmas. You will also find games for some of the other holidays (whatever I find that seems fun) as well as fun fireworks games (to help reduce anxiety on fireworks holidays) below. If you have a fun favorite, I will be happy to add it to the list.
If you need help getting your kids comfortable with online tools, check out our step by step guide to helping kids master basic computer skills.
New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day – Fireworks
I like to show these to my severely autistic daughter before the holiday that will have my neighbors setting off fireworks, so I can prepare her for the noise and give her pretty imagery to go along with the sounds of explosions. There are several phone apps and several on-line games for this – here are a few:
This is just a video of fireworks with classical music that my Iris has loved for her whole life. The original video (Babyscapes Celebration of Color) had a few lovely segments with different colors and they are all on YouTube.
Here is a silent firework simulator game from Primary Games
Fireworks Games is cute with few ads. Chose Free Mode to see how many times you can click on the black night sky to create fireworks – you can get tons of fireworks going at once with mild sound. Click Test Mode to have to click each firework as you see it for points – a lot like Fruit Ninja.
Fireworks go up as a small dot that you click to make the firecracker pop silently to illuminate the city. Slow speed for babies and up to super fast for bigger kids.
KidzSearchGames offers several Fireworks games here
Fireworks shoots red, white or blue firecrackers into the sky and you must choose the matching colored detonator to make it burst.
Flashy Fireworks go up and you touch to make them flash. Mild sound over a city background really says 4th of July to me, but if you miss 3 you start again. Use your device’s sound controls to make the mild sound quieter if needed.
Fireworks Fever is a lot like Flashy Fireworks, but you get to choose your background city, which is kind of cool
Freaky Fireworks is cute with minimal ads. Pick a firecracker then touch the sky to make it fire quietly. A great one to help kids see that different firecrackers make different shapes.
Older kids will enjoy Fireworks Maker Simulator. You swipe the screen as directed to create and launch colorful fireworks. It’s fun to get an idea of how fireworks are made and why they are different shapes and colors, but the ads can make this one a challenge.
New Year’s Eve simulator – shows the countdown, not great on fireworks though
New Year’s Eve Games from Primary Games
Kung Fu Panda Fireworks has us use the arrow keys to move panda around to collect fireworks. There are less explosions, but this might appeal to some older kids, particularly for Chinese New Year.

Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza
I did a large list of winter holiday games and I try to keep it up to date – this full list was last reviewed in October, 2023. I started the list on Facebook but they will no longer allow me to edit it.
I also want to say, regarding holidays, that getting the perfect holiday card is so much easier with Jib Jab. I can use any smiling picture of my kids to make a sweet holiday card that I can share via email or social media – and I don’t have to make myself crazy trying to get everything just right for the perfect holiday photo. Our lives are super complicated, so I love stuff that makes my life (like letting the grocery store cook the holiday meal!).
